William was formerly employed with Franklin Cabinet where he retired and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Brian and Chris Sorrell, and his father, Dwight Sorrell.
William is survived by his wife, Saundra (Richardson) Sorrell; his mother, a son, Rob Sorrell; brother, Jerry Sorrell; three sisters, Cathy Webb, Maxine Proffitt, and Sandy Morris; also 3 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
