Wilma L. Lowman, age 87, of Franklin, OH; died on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Soin Medical Center. She was born in Wilmington, OH, to William H. and Wanda L. (Moon) Shupert. She married John C. Lowman on August 26, 1966.
Wilma was a 1957 graduate of Sabina High School. She was employed as a cook with Laynecrest Lanes for 32 years, was a member of the Springboro Christian Church, American Legion Post #149, and the FOE #528. She was also a member of the Franklin River Days committee, and cooked many meals for the Franklin Police and Fire Departments, she was a Gold Star mom and was active in bringing the traveling Viet Nam Wall to Franklin in 2007.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Lowman, stepson PFC Jonathan Lowman, stepson Donnie Lowman, sister Ella Shupert, brother Paul Shupert, 3 half-sisters, Barbara Fouch, Charlotte Hiatt and Pauline Grube, and 3 half-brothers, William Shupert, Richard Shupert and Tom Shupert. Wilma is survived by her son, Steven Lowman & fiancé Sue, stepsons, Lonnie (Bobbie) Lowman & Ronnie Lowman, 2 granddaughters, Adrianna Taulbee & Jolee Lowman, 4 step grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews, including her niece, Roberta Banta, who helped care for her in the final years of her life.
Wilma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice, or Springboro Christian Church in her memory.
