Zella Mae Morris, age 93, of Carlisle, Oh, passed away in her home, surrounded by her family on October 3, 2026. Zella was born in Williamsburg, KY on December 8, 1932 to the late Franklyn and Zillie (Parton) Thomas.
Zella attended school in Williamsburg, KY and was employed with McGee's Supermarket for many years. She was an avid gardener, seamstress and quilter.
In addition to her parents, Zella was preceded in death by her daughter, Violet Kay Morris, her grandson, Justin Tankersley, her great-granddaughter, Allison Spencer, her six brothers, Frank Thomas, Ray Thomas, Simon Thomas, Arvous Thomas, Reese Thomas and Andrew Thomas. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Patricia) Morris, Scott (Kimmie) Morris, her daughters, Barbara Tankersley, Lanette (Russ) Stevens, Karen (Glen) Chambers; her grandchildren, Ryan Morris, Rodney Morris, Mindy Livengood, Wayne Livengood, Brittany Tankersley Mains, Kiah Morris, Marah Chambers, Valerie Stevens Humphrey, Wendy Stevens, Megan Stevens Rinderle, Scott Stevens; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Morris, Sidney Morris, Gavin Morris, Gabriel Morris, Peyton Spencer, Hudson Rinderle, Jaxx Mains, Charlie Mains, Ava Mains, Reilly Humphrey, Nolan Humphrey, Mya Humphrey, Fynnlee Humphrey, Liam Humphrey, Maddox Koesters; her great great grandchild, Levi Hamilton.
Visitation will be at Anderson Funeral Home Franklin, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, OH 45005, on October 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be 12pm with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery,
