He was also a cherished grandfather to eleven wonderful grandchildren: Jozelyn, Jared, Brandon, Miranda, CJ, Coben, Jonah, Saira, RJ, Justin, and Kaelani.

And great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren: Carlos, Adrian, Toby, and Remi.

Abelardo was one of nine children and is survived by his brother: Lito and three sisters: Virgie, Lina, and Gloria.

He also has 2 half brothers: Paolo and Michael, and 3 half sisters: Paula, Diane, and Michelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Pelagia, his three brothers: Roger, Bernie, Caesar, sister: Bella, and son in-law Mark.

Abelardo worked for Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara for about 25 years in the Environmental Services Department.

"Dynamite Abe" loved to sing karaoke for endless hours on end almost daily. He enjoyed bowling, playing music for his senior citizen club, walking his two dogs Abby & Gigi, watching football & basketball, BBQing for family events, telling jokes, doing cross word puzzles, and coloring on his ipad.

Abelardo touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. His selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.
