Alicia Aquino Trinidad

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alicia “Alice” Trinidad, who passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on August 7, 2026, surrounded by her family in San Jose, California.

Alicia was born to the late Justo and Natividad Aquino in Manila, Philippines, on November 20, 1942. She grew up in Tandang Sora, Quezon City, alongside her siblings: Carmelita C. Aquino (†), Evelina C. Aquino (†), Teresita A. Cunanan, and Francisco C. Aquino. She earned her degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Accounting from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

Alicia married the love of her life, Ricardo Punzalan Trinidad, and together they had three children: Albert, Liza, and Ana. In 1985, Alicia and her three children immigrated to the United States to join Ricardo, who had moved ahead in 1980. They settled in Sunnyvale, California, where they raised their family.

Alicia worked for over 22 years in accounting, holding roles at Bank of the West and Silicon Valley Bank before ultimately retiring from the Santa Clara County office in 2010. She spent her retirement traveling and cherishing time with her beloved grandchildren.

A quiet and gentle woman, Alicia’s soft nature and unwavering faith spoke louder than words. She was the backbone of her family—a steady source of love, strength, and support. Her love was felt in the warmth of her home and through the delicious meals she lovingly prepared. Though she never sought attention, her presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ricardo Trinidad.

She is survived by:

• Children: Albert (April) Trinidad, Liza McGill, and Ana (Zaldy) Dela Cuesta

• Grandchildren: Solace and Raphael Trinidad

• Extended Family: Dear relatives across California, Washington, Hawaii, and the Philippines

Alicia lived a life of quiet strength, faith, generosity, and total devotion to those she loved. Her gentle spirit and the love she poured into her family will remain in their hearts forever.
