

Annabelle “Annie” E. Fernandez died peacefully of natural causes on Saturday March 12th, 2016 in Hanford, California. Annie was visited and comforted by many beloved family members in the days leading up to her passing. She was 87 years old.
Annie was born in Oakland, California on November 10, 1928. She was the third child of four daughters to Marko and Eva Vidakovich.
On February 20, 1960, she married the love of her life, Oliver Fernandez. They made a life together in Oakland, California where she worked as a medical auditor for Blue Cross and where they resided together up until his death.
Annie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who all meant the world to her. She found enjoyment in ensuring the happiness and well-being of those she loved. A devout Catholic, she spent much of her life helping those in need and was admired for her selfless actions, holding a special place in the hearts of everyone that she touched. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, entertaining, listening to the old tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, and keeping up on her hometown baseball team, the Oakland Athletics. She will be dearly missed by so many.
Annie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years Oliver Fernandez, her parents Marko and Eva Vidakovich, sisters Helen Condie, Mary Partridge, Mildred Minicelli and nephew George Condie.
Annie is survived by her cherished nieces and nephews, Michael Joyner of Keno, OR, Abigail Houtchens of Klamath Falls, OR, Craig Condie of Carmichael, CA, Mark Condie of Hanford, CA and Kim Hall of Visalia, CA. As well as several great niece sand nephews.
Funeral services will be held at St. Jarlath Catholic Church, 2634 Pleasant St. Oakland, CA, 10 am Friday, April 1, 2016. Graveside services will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 4529 Howe St., Oakland, CA, followed by a celebration of life.
