Nolie, as his family and friends called him, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology in Manila. A chemist by trade through most of career, he had a 15-year tenure as a chemical analyst for Pharmchem. After a brief stint working as a rocket scientist at Pratt & Whitney, he resumed his biotechnology career at Genentech/Roche Biotechnology as Senior Quality Control Analyst, retiring after 14 more years.
He was an avid athlete and remained active all his life. He enjoyed basketball, bowling, golf, running, cycling, and weightlifting. While he loved watching all forms of sports, he especially enjoyed watching the NBA and PGA Tour in his idle time.
Passing away in July 2026, he will be remembered as a man with a passion for life, an irreverent sense of humor, a valued friend, a loving husband, and a father to his only son.
