Channy, the daughter of Jun Church and Voeun Man. She was born in Battambang, Cambodia and then migrated with her mother and four other siblings to America in November 1981. She was the youngest of her siblings and was 8 years old when they arrived to San Francisco, California.
Channy was brave, enthusiastic, and passionate about everything she did in life. She always had the best interest in people especially her family and friends. Her motto was never giving up on anything you do in life, in her case, her health. She was a fighter, who fought hard for 3 years and her spirit was always strong even though her health was weak. Channy’s spirit will always live forever in our hearts.
“I’ve been on chemo treatment for almost three years now and my body is getting weaker but I’m keeping my spirit alive and keep on fighting. One day, God will grant me my wish and give me back my good health. I just need to have faith and believe in miracles.” – Channy
“The strongest person we know is the person who raised us. God never gave me strength, he only gave me something to believe in. My mother didn’t give me nothing… she gave me everything.”- Calvin
