Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center after several years of cancer surgery and treatment.
Ron graduated from Danbury High School, class of 1965. He attended Alvin Community College and the University of Texas at Austin before joining the Naval Security Group; he was stationed in Japan during the Vietnam War.
Ron was retired; in his work life he was a Principal Consultant at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), where he met Mary Hwang in 1980. They were married on February 22, 1991 and lived in Milpitas, CA.
Later Ron was a Consultant/Trainer for WSB Technologies and retired as an
IT trainer from Unitek IT Education.
His interests included photography, flying his small plane, solar energy, electric cars (Tesla) and electronic gadgets of all kinds.
Ron is survived by his wife Mary Jolley, two daughters and their spouses (Cindy and Dennis Spann, Christina and Scott Dudley), six grandchildren (Connor, Garrett and Jenna Spann, Holly, Jackson and Lucy Dudley); four siblings and their spouses (Nancy and Pete Keeland, Judy Jolley, P.D. Jolley and Richard Jung, Tim Jolley), brother-in-law (E.T. McMullen), sister-in-law (Joanna Yuan), nephews and nieces (James and Jeffrey Keeland, Truett McMullen, Stacey McMullen Puls, Jacob and Jessica Walcik, Brian and Melissa Yuan) many great-nephews, great nieces, and paternal aunt Billie Funderburk.
Preceded in death by his parents (Bryan and Pat Jolley) and his sister (Barbara McMullen).
Cremation at Lima Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary, no services at this time. Ron was a big supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project
