Dr. Dam Vu was born on Dec. 22, 1930 in Thai Binh, Vietnam as the oldest of 6 siblings. His father was a well respected high school teacher. He became a doctor and then joined the Army Medical Corps of Vietnam Republic. He served as the Chief Medical Officer for the 25th Infrantry Division and the head of the District 10th Medical Center in Saigon. In 1975, he retired from the Army as a decorated medical doctor with a rank of colonel. He came to the US and resumed his medical practice in Oregon and Washington. He was a dedicated and passionate doctor. He and his loving wife raised three kids and have two grandchildren. He passed away on April 5, 2013 in the loving care of his family. He will be greatly missed by all the lives that he had touched through his caring, kind and generous heart. May he now rest in eternal peace and happiness in heaven.
