

Beth Crews made the final trip home to our Lord when she passed away silently and peacefully in her sleep on May 17 due to cardiac arrest. She was born and raised in Waterbury CT, the daughter of Theodore Carl Podsiadlik and Elizabeth Alice Cashman Podsiadlik, both of Waterbury. She graduated from Sacred Heart High in Waterbury and Golden West Community College and attended CSU Fullerton in California.
Beth served honorably in the United States Air Force for several years beginning in 1974. During this time she met and married Timothy J. Crews, also in the Air Force. They enjoyed 36 wonderful years of marriage and raising a family.
Beth is survived by her husband Tim, two sons, who have also served in the Armed Forces, and two grandchildren. Sean and Juanita’s son is Matthew Alexander; Geoffrey and Jessie’s daughter is Hailey Marie.
Beth was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and homeschooler. She was active in St. Elizabeth Parish in Milpitas. She organized the Scrip Fund Raising Program and was a member of the parish ladies group, the Roses of St. Elizabeth. Her hobbies and interests include needlepoint, reading and staying abreast of politics and the economy. Beth also was a staunch supporter of the Wounded Warrior program.
Friends and parishioners are invited to attend a vigil rosary Sunday, May 22, 7:30 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 24, at 10:30 AM, followed by a reception. Both services will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 750 Sequoia Drive, Milpitas.
