Elvira was born in Pittsburg, CA and passed away in Hayward, CA. Preceeded in death by three husbands Charles Bennett Glisson, Ashby Jennings and Tony Freitas; and two sons Richard and Michael Jennings. Survived by one son John Jennings and daughter-n-law Valerie as well as three granddaughters Alyssa, Erin and Katie Jennings.
She was also preceded in death by brother Paul and sisters Josaphine Romo, Nickie Loya, Mary Amaral, Carmen Amaral and Antonia Quesada. Survived by brothers Barney and Salvador and sisters Concha Measher, Lillian (Lee) LaFrance and Lupe Quesada.
Elvira worked as a sales clerk for Woolworths in San Francisco and Penney’s in Hayward. She loved dancing, trips to Hawaii and Bingo!
Funeral Mass will be at St. Leanders Catholic Church 474 W. Estudillo Ave. San Leandro, CA Tuesday, Feb 22, 2011 at 10:AM with interment following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
