Enrique was a good friend as I went to Muay Thai with him in milpitas. He kicked my butt. My prayers go out to him.

Condolences to the Pinilla family. RIP Kiki.

Training Muay Thai at Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu just wont ever be the same.  Enrique's infectious smile will be dearly missed.  The way Enrique made my 12 year old son feel was precious. Enrique was willing to sacrifice a chunk of his own workout by partnering up with a kid who had no idea how to hold pads.  Enrique made him feel like just one of the team.  The best part is that Enrique throughly enjoyed helping my son....is was not a chore to Enrique to accommodate him.

I was the personnel manager at Walmart 5434 when Enrique was hired. Enrique was always nice and polite. It is sad too here about his death. He will be greatly missed by all. He has his wings and is in heaven smiling down on us as always. I pray that the family finds peace and know that he is with god and even though he is not physically with us he will always be in our hearts.

I worked with Enrique as a living skills instructor the last two years of his life. We shared a deep and genuine friendship and I learned a lot from him. I feel as though I have lost a son. My sympathy and condolences to his wonderful family.

I knew Enrique a short time but his smile and warmth that he expressed made a lasting memory of him that I will miss.  My condolences to his family.  I hope you find peace and your sorrow is lightened a bit knowing that the people who knew Enrique truly cared for him as a person and friend.

Kiki was such a sweet and funny guy. He will be greatly missed. All my thoughts and prayers for his family.

Enrique's kind and fun loving spirit shined through at first introduction.  He was a great bowler and teammate for an afternoon for charity!!  He obviously gave much love and received much love back.  My prayers are with all family and friends. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.-

I am praying for Enrique and the family. Enrique was a wonderful person who always had a smile and a great personality. I always enjoyed talking to Enrique during and after workout sessions.

I remember him as a real nice guy always quick to smile.... May u rest in peace...  God bless his family now and always.

I met Enrique through Omei Kung Fu--we use to do muay thai together. While training with Enrique for a period of time, I notice that the class was funner and more cheerful when he was there. He always had a knack for making people laugh. A hard workout would seem easy just because he was there making everyone smile with his radiant personality. I remember one time Enrique saw me punching somebody's stomach for an abdominal conditioning while lying on the floor. He then asked me to do the same to him to condition his abs. I said, r you sure about this--I punch pretty hard? He confidently said yes!  I went on and repeatedly hit his stomach as hard as I can. To my surprise, he was just lying there yawning as if he couldn't feel a thing. He said harder, punch harder (while laughing at the same time)! Eventually, I got exhausted of punching his stomach hard that he said "next time you should just knee me". He said my punches were weak! Everybody in the room started laughing because I have always been known to give a good abdominal conditioning to everyone--but not to Enrique. To this day, I still wish I had the opportunity not only to knee his stomach but to hangout more with him. I have always known him to be a kind, warm, cheerful, and beautiful person, but I have also thought that he's always going to be around at any time--I was wrong. This tragedy reminded me that next day is never guaranteed. We should (and I will) always cherish people that are here with us because we never know. The minute that we think that we'll see that person again is the minute that we might not. Nevertheless, nothing but good memories with Enrique. I just wish that I could have had a little bit more time with him--to train, hangout, and most importantly, to laugh. Rest in peace my homie. I am very thankful and blessed to have ever met such a wonderful person like you. Keep shining ur smiles at us and may God bless your soul.

Enrique since the day I met you i've always admired your happiness. I remember when we were kids, while at Pipa's house, you and my sister Diana used to chase each other and hide in the little room under the stairs. It was so much fun watching you two laughing with each other.  Just like at the Colombian picnics and parties you were always present with your smile ready to dance with the most beautiful girls all kinds of music especially Vallenatos and cumbias. 
I also remember the last time we talked, you were telling my daughter Ayelen, how important it was to take martial art classes just like you did!
Kiki you will always be in my heart.........and I still hear your laughter.......todavía se escucha tu sonrisa!!

I made chicken enchiladas for Enrique once and EVERY time he saw me he asked me when would I be making them again? He loved them. I also gave him a hard time about drinking a beer on a Tuesday once. So...every time after that, if he was drinking a beer he would say "Don't worry Sheri, it's not Tuesday". It was our little inside joke we had. :)  Enrique and the Pinilla Family made a positive difference in my life and I hold that close to my heart.  With Love and Respect...Sheri Dee

I will forever be greatful to him for being like an uncle to my girls. The advise you gave them about soccer and buying them icecream. A memory that puts a smile on my face is when my brother Jamil would bring him to the house and kiki would ask if we had anything to eat and of course my dad would feed him. My dad use to say "este es El hijo de Jamil" because everywhere my brother went kiki went. We are very lucky to have known such a great Guy who always brought so much joy and laughter. Love you kiki. Enrique, I was just beginning to know you. I would tell Mylin you would always say hi and talk to me when I would come to the store. We will both miss you very much.

Enrique and I had many wonderful years and memories together in Tae Kwon Do. I feel very blessed to have known him. He was a person that always had a smile on his face and it could light up an entire room. I'm glad that I had the opertunity to share such wonderful moments with him, like sparring, doing drills, and just practicing karate in which we both loved so very much. Thank you for sharing that experience with me Enrique, you will truely be missed!

Enrique...it really has shown in the recent days how tremendously you were loved by everyone. Your memory will live on with all of us. I feel honored and lucky to have spent so many years with you in our lives. You truly were an anomaly in this world....a very rare kind of person that possessed a huge heart and with the personality to match. I will always remember nothing short of good times with you because that's all we ever shared....good times, lots of laughs, and big XO's. Rest in eternal paradise. From Monique, Meriya, and myself....we'll love you always!
