Eva was born in Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines on June 24, 1936 to the late Francisco Sr. & Hilaria Makapugay. Also, studied in Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Teofilo Leobrera Monteagudo; brothers, Johnny, Junior and Edgar Makapugay but still with living one brother name Cayetano Makapugay.
Eva is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Anne Prado; sons, Bob, Gino, Ronald and Marlon Monteagudo; 14 grandchildren & 2 great grandkids and many other nephews, nieces, extended relatives and friends.
Eva was full of life, and loved to smile, laugh and share her music. She loved her husband and children, church goer and relished spending time making herself glamorous. In her early days, Eva was active raising her grandchildren, actively involved in her church and love planting roses . In her spare time she enjoyed playing her piano and listening to her favorite music station, watching TFC (The Filipino Channel) and gardening. As a young lady, she enjoyed hanging out with her friends, and schoolmates in the Philippines. She became a pharmacist in Manila; that’s when she met the love of her life, Teofilo. In 1989, the family embarked on their grand journey to America where she was trained to work in an electronics warehouse at Santa Clara California; began a productive and happier life in the land of opportunity. They enjoyed this journey with many friends and family members all along the way. It’s been a great-great journey and it continues with a lifetime of memories.
The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 11 AM -8:30 PM at the Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary Mission Hills Chapel,
48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539. There will be a Vigil and Rosary Service @ 5:00 PM
A Catholic Burial will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 10:30 to 11:30 am at Saint John The Baptist Catholic Church, 279 S. Main St., Milpitas CA 95035.
Eva will be laid to rest at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Although she has begun a new journey to eternal life; meeting her late beloved husband and late families will bring joy and happiness eternally.
