Feliciana Pisante Diaz, lovingly known as “Fely,” passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026, at the age of 93, after living with dementia.
Born to Feliciano Pisante and Abundia Maraan, Fely was the youngest of three children, alongside her sisters, Matilde and Aurora. At a young age, she began her journey into motherhood with the birth of her first child, Ricardo, followed by Carmencita, Alberto, Eleanor, Evelyn, Marissa, and Teresa. Together, they became the family that would define her life and give it purpose.
A devoted homemaker, Fely dedicated her life to caring for her family. When her beloved husband, Isaias, passed away on September 21, 1972, at the beginning of Martial Law in the Philippines, she found herself raising seven children, most of whom were still minors. Faced with the challenges of being a single mother, she persevered with courage, resilience, and unwavering faith. Through her sacrifices, hard work, and unconditional love, she gave her children the foundation they needed to build their own lives and achieve what they have today.
Fely’s life was a testament to a mother’s strength and devotion. She built more than a family; she created a legacy of love, perseverance, and togetherness that will continue through generations.
In 1993, she immigrated to the United States, eventually bringing all her children to California and opening a new chapter in their family’s story. From humble beginnings in the Philippines to building a life together in America, her journey became the foundation of the family she leaves behind today.
Her legacy lives on through her seven children, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren—generations who will forever carry a part of her in their hearts.
Today, we say goodbye to the woman who gave us our roots, our values, and a lifetime of memories to treasure. Our hearts are heavy with grief yet filled with gratitude for the precious gift of having her as our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The lessons she taught us, the sacrifices she made, and the love she gave so freely will remain a part of who we are.
Until we meet again, you will always be the heart of our family—the one who started it all, the love that held us together, and the home we will forever carry in our hearts.
Forever our Mom. Forever our matriarch. Forever loved.
