Feliza Somera lived a vibrant, beautiful life of 97 years. Born in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she began her adult life as a school teacher and the devoted wife of her high school sweetheart, Tony. In 1970, she bravely immigrated to San Jose, California, with her five children to reunite with her husband and build a prosperous future. She worked as a dedicated manufacturing assembler for LSI Logic until retiring at 65.
Above all, Feliza was the proud matriarch of a massive family tree that includes 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her love was best felt through the simple joys that brought people together. Many will fondly remember her competitive spirit and laughter over games of Mahjong and Tongits, or the warmth of gathering together over her legendary, homemade Miki soup. For Feliza, food and games were a sacred way to bring the people she loved into one room and share her heart.
Through her kindness, strength, and unwavering care, she touched every heart around her. She is lovingly remembered, deeply missed, and forever carried in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
