Frank Tóth, age 81, of Milpitas, CA passed away on Tuesday November 7, 2017. Frank, AKA Francois was born as Ferenc (pronounced Ferents) Tóth February 22, 1936 in Budapest, Hungary to Jozsef Tóth & Maria Czimer Tóth. Frank is survived by his beloved wife Diana E. Parrales Tóth and his three children: Liza Tóth, Maricela Spencer and Frank Tóth Jr.
Frank was the last of his siblings to pass. He was the youngest of 6 siblings. His siblings were Anna, Marika, Elizabeth, Jozsef and Matyas. Francois' mother passed in 1985 and his father passed in 1942 when he was just 8 years old.
Ferenc was primarily raised by his mother and older sisters. He was 20 years old during the time of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, a nationwide revolt against the government of the Hungarian People's Republic and its Russian Soviet-imposed policies, lasting from October until November 1956. Francois was taught Russian in school so he was bilingual at an early age. Ferenc graduated from a Hungarian Technical School in Budapest that specialized in power distribution and electronics. His family struggled terribly during the war. Francois wanted a better life for himself so, like many others, he attempted to escape to Austria where his sister lived. He was caught and returned to Budapest by officials with pity for his badly injured right eye he could not see from due to an accident sharpening his mother's scissors. He was successful on his 2nd attempt to escape this time to Paris, France to a refugee camp for Hungarians. Francois went to school and worked in Paris and learned to speak French very well. There he met Julie Cohen (now Wornan) in 1956 at the Alliance Francaise school. They married in 1958 and lived in Paris until Julie decided to return to New York to have their first child, Liza Toth. Julie was originally from New York, USA and sponsored Francois to the US in 1959. They separated a short time after.
Ferenc' 2nd chapter began in San Francisco. There he learned to speak Spanish fluently through friends. He lucked out and finally met his 2nd wife, Diana E. Parrales, a native of Managua, Nicaragua in San Francisco in 1969.
The story goes when Francois met Diana they met in an international club called "Never on Fridays" that met in a different hotels in San Francisco every Friday night.
They married in San Francisco in 1970 and gave birth to their first child, Maricela Diana Tóth in 1971. They moved to Mountain View and subsequently Milpitas when later their 2nd child, Frank Tóth Jr was born in 1977.
