Get Tang, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and woman of remarkable determination, passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 91. Her passing comes just months after losing her beloved husband, Kui Heng, and it brings comfort to know they are now reunited.
Born on January 25, 1935, Get was incredibly resilient, resourceful, and fierce. In 1985, seeking peace and a better future, she and Kui made the brave journey from Vietnam to the United States with their five children. Eventually settling in San Jose, California, they successfully acclimated and rooted themselves in their new community, giving their children the strong foundation they needed to succeed.
Get was the true driving force of her family, known for her wonderfully big personality and a kind, generous spirit that made her a constant joy to be around. She had an infectious laugh that brought warmth to every gathering. She was an extraordinarily caring grandmother who loved her family with her whole heart, and you could feel that deep devotion every time you saw her.
She is survived by her five children and her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who will proudly carry forward her legacy of courage, resilience, and boundless love.
