Gregory Duarte Jr..Gregory Duarte, Jr. Resident of Hayward, CA Gregory Duarte, Jr., born Sacramento, CA Dec. 9, 1935 passed suddenly on Sept. 23, 2012 at the age of 76. He was a resident of Hayward, Ca. He was lovingly known as Uncle Nonie. He was raised & lived most of his life in Oakland, Ca. He attended McClymonds High School, served in the Marines and worked as a Longshoreman for 33 years in Local Union 10 until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents Gregorio & Lydia Duarte, his sister Lydia Guerra, brother, Benjamin Duarte. He is survived by his sisters Raquel Gallardo of Oakland, Guadalupe & brother in-law Alfred Montoya of Mt. House, and Margarita Duarte of Tracy. He is also survived by 14 nieces & nephews, 29 great nieces & nephews and 12 great great nieces & nephews. Viewing will be held on Mon., Oct. 1, 2012, 3:30 - 8:30 pm at San Leandro Funeral Home (formally Guerrero), 407 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro, Ca. Mass service at 11 am on Tues., Oct. 2, 2012 at St Lawrence O'Toole/St Cyrill, 3725 High St., Oakland, Ca. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, 4529 Howe St. Oakland, Ca.
