I just learned of Jeff's passing this evening. We first met in High School in 1969, and quickly became close friends. He had been my roommate through college, drinking buddy, and long-time jazz concert companion in the Albany NY area.  I was best man at his wedding, and he was best man at mine. Although we lost touch with each other in recent years, he was always an incredible friend and great person. He will be greatly missed. I have many great memories of our time together. My condolences to his family.
