

Jesus “Jessie” Ibarra Hilario, 81, passed away on March 25, 2025. His family were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born on Nov. 2, 1943, to Iluminada and Felicisimo Hilario of Camiling, Tarlac. Jessie was the second oldest of eight children.
Jesus or Jessie to family and friends, is survived by his wife Amanda Nool Hilario; daughters Magiruz, Maredeth and Mediatrix. He also left behind his sons-in-law Arnel, Sonny and Christopher; well-loved by his grandchildren Noah, Elijah, Ava and Caden.
Jessie worked closely with the then Mayor of Gerona, Rolando Sembrano for more than 10 years before embarking to a new journey in Saudi Arabia’s Vinnell Corp for 8 years. In 1993, his whole family moved to Milpitas, CA and begun living the American dream. He started working as auto mechanic under Clifford Fernando. He found a position with Waste Management and worked as mechanic for 20 years. He retired in 2023 and enjoyed tagging along with his wife Amanda to casino trips. On a yearly basis, Jessie and Amy, accompanied by one of his daughters, take trips to the Philippines to visit relatives and friends. He loved entertaining his friends, former co-workers and relatives with his stories, good food, drinks and wine, thus, creating wonderful memories.
On Feb. 9, 2025, he started feeling unwell, rushed to the emergency room for unknown reasons. Several blood tests, and CT scans were performed until the doctors ruled out “Lymphoma” as the diagnosis. He was treated perpetually by the medical professionals at Kaiser Fremont and Kaiser San Leandro, but one organ after the other are failing that contributed to his early demise.
