

Joyce was born to Tony J. Silva and Elsie on May 17, 1940 in San Mateo, CA. She grew up in Half Moon Bay, Redwood City and San Carlos with her older sister Shirley Shephard and younger brothers David Silva and Ronald Silva. Joyce attended San Carlos Elementary until she left school as a sophomore.
She met her husband, Richard C. Park in Redwood City. They were married on July 13, 1957 and made their home in San Carlos, CA. They moved to Fremont, CA in April of 1959. Together they had two children, Gary and Tammy. Joyce worked for Fremont Unified School District from 1974-2000, retiring as the Cafeteria Manager for John F. Kennedy High School. She relocated to Turlock, CA to be closer to her family after the passing of her husband of 42 years in 1999. She also continued to care for her mother Elsie Ferreira.
Joyce enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren, Daryl and Shannon Park, Lynn (Waller) Perry, Christopher and Brian Waller. She also cherished her time with her 10 great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Shelby, and Cadence Perry; James, Kimberly, Kurtis, and Kolby Waller; Mason and Lexi Waller; and the most recent addition that she had not yet had the chance to meet in person, Brooke Park.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her family and her memory will live on with everyone that she loved.
