On behalf of St. Patrick’s HH  we want to express our sincerest sympathy and prayers to Sam and family.

I have known Ate Lerma since I was 14 years old when her youngest sister, Susie, and I met when we were freshman in high school.  Meeting Ate Lerma for the first time, I knew she was such a kind hearted, gentle soul.   Throughout the years, I had the privilege of attending some of their family events and got to know Ate Lerma and the rest of the Rillera family even more.  One thing that comes to mind when I think of Ate Lerm are the delicious food she  serves at family events and her sincere caring nature.  Of course, I will never forget witnessing Ate Lerma  and Kuya Sam’s love story as well when they were still dating back in the 80’s.  Kuya Sam was so in love with Ate Lerma, and, amazingly, that same feeling was still evident 3 weeks before her death when I visited and saw Ate Lerm for the last time at the hospital where Kuya Sam was still very, loving, attentive and protective of her.

My heart goes out with you Kuya Sam and your children, for you lost a loving wife and mother that kept your bond solid all these years.  Same feeling goes with her siblings, who are like my own, who lost not just a sibling, but someone who stood as their matriarch since their mom left them with her care when she immigrated here in the US to seek a better life for her children.  Sue, my bff, my shoulder is right here if you need someone to pour your heart out to.

Ate Lerm, you will be forever etched in our minds and soul.  I’m so fortunate to have become part of your family and I will never forget your beautiful smile and loving nature.   You will certainly be missed.

To the Rillera-Apostol’s family, please  accept my deepest condolences.  My heart is breaking into pieces with all of you.😢😭

Eternal rest grant unto Lerma Rillera Apostol Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shines upon her.  May she rest in eternal peace.  Amen.🙏

Condolence to the Apostol family. We will miss ate Lerma. I still can’t forget her mamon that she’d bake. It was so good with milk. Many times she’d keep some on the side for me…I was truly a fan!!! Love you Apostol family and prayers of comfort go up for you all…Joel and Che
