

Lilia was born on September 10,1932 in Camalig, Albay, Philippines. She graduated from the University of the Philippines, PGH School of Nursing in 1956. She then attended and received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of San Diego in 1961. She pursued her career as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 1994. For most of her career as a Registered Nurse, she worked for the Department of Veteran's Affairs, VA Hospital, in Palo Alto, CA.
In 1954, Lilia while a nursing student at the University of the Philippines, she met her husband Cecilio Nale. They were married in 1959 in San Diego, CA while Cecilio was serving in the US Navy and Lilia was attending nursing school at the University of San Diego. They eventually settled in San Jose, CA where they have lived since 1971.
Lilia loved cooking, good food, and socializing with friends and family. She was a big sports fan and loved watching baseball and football, especially her local favorites the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and the Oakland A's. She also loved to travel, seeing many places around the world with Cecilio. Her biggest joy was doting on her grandchildren as "Lola." She had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a big smile that could light up a room.
She is survived by her husband, Cecilio Nale; sons, Jeffrey and Clifford; and grandchildren, Gianna, Dominic, Gabriel, Brandon and Sophia. All brought great joy to her life.

Friends and family are invited to a vigil, rosary, and visitation on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 6 p.m.. at the Lima Family Milpitas Fremont Mortuary, 48800 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, CA., and a funeral mass on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 10 am at St. Victor’s Catholic Church, 3108 Sierra Rd., San Jose, CA.
