Lourdes R. Sangil, who was also known as Uding, was born on August 26, 1926 in Abucay Bataan, Philippines. She had three brothers and was the only daughter. She was a vendor at a local market in Balsik, Bataan when she met her beloved husband Arsenio Sangil Sr. (deceased). They got married on November 19, 1944. They were blessed with eleven children: Teresita, Reynaldo, Jaime (deceased), Fe, Gil (deceased), Neneth, Susan, Arsenio Jr, Eddie, Edilbrando and Gener Joseph. Their oldest daughter, Tessie married Ernie Valdez who retired from the military. They were stationed in Germany and after their tour of duty they returned to the United States which provided them the opportunity to bring Lourdes and Arsenio, Sr. to America in 1982 from the Philippines. They resided in Palo Alto, California with daughter Fe and her husband Jerry. Through the course of many years, the remainder of her children migrated to the California to be together. Lourdes was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
