Luciana was born in Catmon, Cebu, Philippines on June 13, 1927 to Eugenio Orlanes and Aquilina Menchavez. She was the youngest of seven siblings: Anthony, Sulpicio, Filomena, Exequiel, Iluminada, and Pedro. She married Crescencio Regner Llanos on January 25, 1950. They began their family thereafter and had three sons: Hernando, Adi, and Rene Lee and two daughters: Elizabeth and Teresa. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Luciana graduated from the University of the Visayas with a degree in Accounting and later became a Certified Public Accountant. She worked as a Chief Provincial Health Officer at the Cebu City Capitol and also taught Accounting at Cebu City College.
She immigrated to the United States in 1974, where she began working as a Bank Officer at Bank of America in San Francisco, CA until her retirement at the age of 62.
Family always came first for her. She was a simple, gentle woman, a true friend, a hard worker, a loving wife, and a wonderful mother, who always wore a beautiful smile. Her home was always open to family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, playing mahjong, and going to casinos. She was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Golden State Warriors.
Luciana went to be with Jesus on November 2, 2016. She is now peacefully at rest and is now reunited with Papa Cres and Chino. Heaven has gained a new angel to look after us. Mom, God may have you in His arms, but we have you in our HEARTs forever. We love you!
