With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Olegario de Sousa Silveira on June 16, 2025, at the age of 51. He was born on February 8, 1974, in Lisbon, Portugal, to Antonio Cristiano da Silveira Jr. and Maria Analia da Silveira e Sousa.
Olegario graduated from West Valley College with an Associate Degree in Biology. He worked as a personal trainer at Club Sport in Fremont for about a decade before returning to school to become a surgical technologist, a career he pursued for the past 15 years.
In 2017, Olegario married Nancy Fang in San Francisco, California. They made their home in Fremont in 2018.
He was a passionate Los Angeles Rams fan, having supported the team since he moved to the United States in 1980. Olegario loved animals, enjoyed spending time outdoors, and maintained an active lifestyle.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Nancy; his sons, Sebastian and Nico; his mother; his sisters, Laidinha, Olga, Guida, La-Sallet and Analia; and his loyal dog, Bella.
He is predeceased by his father; his sister, Maria; and his brother, Antonio.
