Paz was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, educator, pastor’s wife, and faithful servant of God. For more than 30 years, she served as a teacher in the Philippines and faithfully ministered alongside her husband, the late Eduardo Gametira Cortez, sharing the love of Christ through her life, service, hospitality, and prayers.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eduardo Gametira Cortez, and her son, Eddie Boy.
She is survived by her daughters, Edna Cortez, Jenifer Cortez, Arlyn Murray, and Scarlette Cortez-Helget; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, along with many extended family members, dear friends, former students, and fellow believers.
Paz will be remembered for her unwavering faith, welcoming home, generous heart, and the countless lives she touched through her love, prayers, and service to others.”
