Patrocinia Gonzales Lesaca, who had lived most of her life in Milpitas and lately in Antioch, California, is survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins her in the US and in the Philippines. The youngest of seven siblings and was born to Feliza Abegania and Roman Gonzales. She took up her Pre-Nursing Studies at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, continued on and was granted the Registered Nursing Credentials and practice at San Juan De Dino’s Hospital, finished up her BSN at Philippine Women’s University in early 1965. She had worked in different hospitals in Manila and thereafter applied and had obtained a “grantee” visa under the Exchange Visitor’s Program for Nurses in early year of 1970. Pat devotedly spent her nursing life on patients’ care, mostly in pediatrics, OB post-surgical and recovery nursing care, spanned out her work and experience at various hospitals all around the US from New Jersey, Boston, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and San Jose, California for more than 40 years of work history. Pat played many roles throughout her 87 years of earthly life. She was a devoted Catholic, she had active memberships at the different parish organizations of St. John the Baptist in Milpitas, such as the Eucharistic Ministry Group, the Ladies Guild, Couples for Christ, and SARF (Society of Augustinian Recollect Fraternity Group).
She was also a meek, submissive, and understanding housewife, calmly settle her personal pains and hardships without complaints, most of time preferred calmer and gentler talks and settlements on any normal home issues and petty issues. Overall she was a very patient person, very loving aunt to many nieces and nephews her in the US and in the Philippines.
Pat was a gracious host and cooked a variety of delicious entrees that people delightfully enjoyed. She was and always had been a generous and nice host at all times to friends and family. She was very pleasant, nice, loving, and appreciative to all of her extended family members. All of these noteworthy memories will be treasured gems that will forever be locked and safe with those who love her. She was a strong, wise women of open heart and deep faith in God. So many have gained and learned so much from all her ways and how she journeyed life. She reminded those around her to always come up and make the best efforts to find the best solutions to a problem in order to make a difference and to be determined in whatever effects and consequences on the course of actions taken, to be confident yet to be self-assured, to be compassionate yet fierce all at once in your decisions. She lived by example and always brought warmth and joy to those who were in her presence. Her life will continue to linger on, and will leave an indelible imprint on us. She lived her life fruitfully, faithfully, and justly and will be missed greatly.
As her life is celebrated, those who love her are comforted that she is at rest and peace with the Lord. Her unconditional love endures and the gratitude of her friends and family will carry the legacy that she has left behind.
