Dear Raluca and Christian,
We are extremely shocked and saddened about your unexpected loss.
Petru was a very educated and cultured man. He had a selective appreciation and enjoyed looking at everything beautiful: art, music, literature, movies, foreign places.
He was very talented and gifted with his hands. We always admired the numerous house projects he personally designed and executed. Everything Petru worked on, had to be perfect, seamless and, it was!
I personally will miss so much his uplifting, never-changing lie:"...you haven't changed a bit! Really! Not at all! Look, I can show you some photos from the first time we met to prove it to you."....God, forbid! But every time we'd get together, I waited for those kind compliments, delivered....ooh, so convincingly!
Petru had an impressive memory: he could remember the names and details of all the places he visited years ago.
George and I will miss hearing his impressions about a recent trip, an opera, a concert, a movie or, a friendly gossip. We'll miss him a lot!
May he rest in peace!
