59, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication. Born on December 16, 1966, in Villasis, Pangasinan, Philippines, Raul was the beloved son of Jose and Lolita Dizon Bulatao.
Raul's journey was marked by his unwavering commitment to those he loved and the community he served. In an illustrious career beginning in July 1987, Raul dedicated his professional life to the field of engineering, working as a Sputter Equipment Line Maintenance Engineering Associate at Komag, which later became Western Digital Corporation. His expertise and dedication were highly regarded, and he formed many lasting friendships with colleagues over the years.
Raul's personal life was as vibrant and fulfilling as his career. In 1989, he met the love of his life, Arlene, through their work. Fate reunited them in April 2001, and their enduring love was celebrated in marriage on February 2, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they built a beautiful family and enjoyed 24 wonderful years of marriage. Raul is survived by his beloved wife Arlene, his sons Branden and Xander, step-son Mark, daughter-in-law Jodem, and his adored granddaughters Ayla and Aaliyah. He also leaves behind his sisters and brothers, whose lives were enriched by his presence.
Raul was a man of many passions and pursuits. He was a dedicated member of the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and shared his love of wrestling through coaching at Columbia Middle
School Wrestling Team, Sunnyvale Wrestling Club, and as a supporting coach at Fremont High School from 2016 to 2023.
A man of vigor and vitality, Raul pursued healthy living with enthusiasm, often working out with the energy of a young man. Whether meticulously tending to his home or enjoying time behind
the wheel of his cherished cars, Raul found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid traveler, with a particular fondness for Hawaii and cruising, and he relished time on the golf course and in bowling alleys.
Raul's quick wit, warm smile, and natural ability to make everyone feel valued were the hallmarks of his character. His kindness and generosity were felt by all who knew him, and he had a special talent for spoiling his family in the most loving ways.
In this time of grief and remembrance, the Bulatao family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who provided emotional, spiritual, and financial support during this sudden event. Raul's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire the lives he touched.
Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a GoFundMe created for
Raul by his son Branden.
