Junior was born on May 13, 1971, in Palo Alto, California. He was the son of his late loving parents, Renato Sr. and Marina Fernando. He was a devoted father, a loving partner, a caring brother and cousin, a cherished uncle, and a loyal friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone he met.
To know Junior was to feel joy. With a laugh that could fill a room and a kindness that never ran out, he made everyone feel seen, welcome, and loved. Whether through a shared joke, his passion for music, or simply his bright presence, Junior had a gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. Junior attended Theuerkauf Elementary School, Stevenson Elementary School, Crittenden Middle School, Los Altos High School, and Foothill College. He later attended the Master Institute, where he studied Business Marketing, and he received an E/M Engineering Design certification. He was a dedicated worker at Olympus. Despite his responsibilities, he always made time for his family and friends.
Junior enjoyed outdoor recreational activities such as playing golf, mountain e-biking, and hiking in beautiful places surrounded by nature. His love for hiking, photography, and music was something he shared with his two sons, leaving a mark on them that will never fade.
Junior was a dedicated and faithful fan of the San Francisco 49ers, supporting the team through wins and losses. He was also a proud member of the Niner Empire.
He is lovingly survived by his sons, Brandon and Jarrell Fernando; his partner, Lynn Torres; his siblings, Chedy, Ronald, Wilma, Mary, Marlon, Sherrie, and Julie; and his nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
We find comfort in knowing that Junior’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
