Rizalina Zaragoza Agbuya December 1930 - February 2020. Born in Iloilo City, Philippines, BS in Nursing from St. Paul's College 1955. She worked at James Ewing Memorial Hospital in New York City when she first arrived in the United States as a registered Nurse. She pursued a Master's degree in Oncology until she met Porferio. She was a Nursing Coordinator at Stanford Hospital and a Director at Agnew's State Hospital. Member of the Legion of Mary and Third Order Carmelite. Resident of Chowchilla and San Jose, CA. After many long years battling multiple medical conditions, passed away peacefully during her rehab stay in Cupertino, CA.
She was the beloved wife of Porferio P. Agbuya just shy of 60 years. Rizalina will forever be remembered by her husband Porferio, her sister Ramona Parreno, her in-laws Julie and Benjamin Germono, Irenio and Andrea Bernabe, her beloved children Albert P. Agbuya, daughter-in-law, Ami Agbuya, Marisa Z. Ireland, Gigi M. Laroco, son-in-law, John Laroco, Porferio Agbuya, Jr., daughter-in-law, Rebecca Agbuya, treasured grandchildren Samantha and Sabrina Agbuya, Monique and Lance Grove, Tiffany Ireland and fiance Chad Van Schuyver, Jonathan and Nancy Laroco, Nicolette Perlina and Jarod Laroco, Isabella and Julia Agbuya, and great grandchildren Vincent, Gunnar and Scarlett Grace Rizalina Grove, and her personal care giver Gina Garcia, along with countless family and friends whom were blessed to know her.
Rizalina was devoted to God and prayer, loved playing mahjong, played the piano beautifully, traveled to her most desired, enjoyed being amongst family and had great talent in cooking many Filipino dishes and desserts for family and friends, especially during gatherings and celebrations over the years.
Rizalina's faith in God, along with her generosity and strength, has enriched countless lives throughout the years all the way to the end. On Tuesday March 3rd, family and friends are invited to attend the viewing between 10 am - 9 pm with a vigil service at 6 pm at Lima Milpitas - Fremont Mortuary 48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539. A memorial service mass at St.Victor's Catholic Church, 3108 Sierra Road, San Jose, CA will take place on Wednesday March 4th at 10 am. The family asks that all donations be sent to St. Victor's Catholic Church.
