He leaves his wife, Harriett, of 57 years and sons Michael (Stephanie), grandchildren Kelston and Savanah and son Glen (Carole).
Bob served Milpitas as the first Park and Recreation Director from 1964 to 1980, was active in the community and voted Citizen of the Year in 1986. He was a Rotarian for 46 years, being a past president and Paul Harris Fellow.
Bob served on the Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury for two years and on the Open Space Authority Board.
As an avid ocean lover, he enjoyed skin/scuba diving and was a competition diver.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 1pm at the Barbara Lee Senior Center, 40 Milpitas Blvd.
