Roland Medina Garcia was born on April 4th, 1962 in Texas and began his journey through life. As a baby, he was adopted by his loving mother Ester Medina. He had one sister, Yolanda Hernandez and brothers Ramiro, Jose, Roberto Favila. As a child, they resided in Hollister, California where he spent the majority of his childhood.
In his early 20’s he graduated and obtained his degree in Electronics Technology from Bay-Valley Tech college. That is where he began his career in the technology field and where he met his love of his life.
On November 22, 1987 he married Rosalinda Halol. He also took on the role as stepfather to his daughter Charity Wooden and son Jo De Guzman. Shortly after being married they had a child of their own Sarah Garcia. He raised his kids in a very disciplined way but with an abundance amount of love.
Roland was an extremely hard worker. He worked tireless graveyard shifts for 15 years as a supervisor. But after a few medical scares, he could no longer work as hard has he did in his younger years. He retired at the age of 45.
In 2017, Roland’s health took a turn for the worse. In the beginning of 2018, he was in and out of the hospital. It was then we learned he had both kidney and liver failure. On August 11th, 2018 Roland took his breath.
Roland is survived by: His sister and brother-in-law, Yolanda and Carlos Hernandez, his brother and sister-in-law Roberto and Vences Favila, his nieces Arlene Favila, Diane, Norma and Sandy Hernandez, his nephew Fabian Favila, his wife Rosalinda Garcia, his kids Charity Wooden, Jo De Guzman Sarah Garcia along with his grandchildren, Noa, Mariah, Regan, Riley and Hudson.
