Rosa was born on April 23 in Guam to Francisco and Antonia Blas. As the third of nine children, she grew up surrounded by family and learned the strength, resilience, and deep love for others that would define her throughout her life.
Over the years, Rosa worked in a grocery store, volunteered as a nurse’s aide, and most importantly devoted herself to caring for her family as a homemaker. She found joy in looking after the people she loved and creating a home where everyone felt welcome. She loved cooking for family gatherings, working on puzzles, trying her luck at the slot machines, and enjoying her favorite treats; especially ice cream, cake, and candy.
Anyone who knew Rosa knew how caring, loving, and strong she was. She had a way of making people feel seen, remembered, and valued. Though she was small in stature, she was incredibly strong in both spirit and determination. Having survived war, raised a large family, and faced life's many challenges with courage, she lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, faith, and devotion to those around her.
Rosa is survived by her children Samuel, Rosalyn, Peter, Joseph, Larry, and Eloy; 24 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and countless extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel; her children, Robert, John, and Anna; and her granddaughter, Jacqueline.
Those who knew Rosa will always remember one of her favorite sayings: "Neber happened" & "Sin Finger." It never failed to bring a smile or laugh to those around her. More than anything, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the strength she showed throughout her life, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the memories she created, and the countless lives she touched.
A funeral service will be held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery on July 10, 2026. Viewing will begin at 11:30 a.m., with services at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial and a reception.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, support, kindness, and love during this difficult time. Thank you for helping us celebrate Rosa's life and honor the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
May she rest in peace.
