Sandy graduated from Milpitas High School in 1983. She was a cheerleader and senior class vice president. She received her A.A. from Ohlone College and her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State Hayward in 1992. She worked as a dealer account manager for Ford Motor Credit Corporation. She is a member of the Milpitas High School Hall of Fame.
She married her high school sweet heart Kelly King. From dating to marriage, they spent the next 33 years together. They have two children, Kelly Jr. and Nicole.
She is survived by her husband Kelly, Kelly Jr. and his wife Kymber, daughter Nicole, mother Soledad Murray, brother Steve Kantoniemi, sister Debbie Martin and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
