It is with a broken heart that we share the passing of our beloved Sydney, who left us peacefully after a long and heroic battle with cancer.
She was a private person who never sought attention, but those who were lucky enough to truly know her knew how deeply she loved and how much she cared. She had a quiet strength that carried her through some of life’s hardest moments, and she faced her journey with courage, grace, and incredible resilience.
To her family, she was so much more than words can express. She was a devoted wife to Peter, a loving mother to William and Wyatt, a cherished daughter to her mother, Shuet-Man, and a beloved sister to Mei and Philip. She was someone we could never imagine living without, and the space she leaves behind can never truly be filled.
Her life was far too short. There were still so many moments we wished we could share with her, so many conversations we wish we could have had, and so many memories we wish we could make. But we will hold tightly to the memories we do have—the laughter, the ordinary moments, the family moments, and simply having her in our lives.
We will miss her in ways we cannot put into words. We will miss her voice, her presence, and knowing that she was just a phone call away. Most of all, we will miss the person she was and the love she quietly gave to those around her.
Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful that she was ours to love. Her time with us may have been too short, but the love she gave us will last a lifetime.
Rest peacefully, dear Sydney. You fought so bravely for so long. We love you more than words can ever say. Until we meet again, you will forever be in our hearts.
