Teresita Rule Ubaldo peacefully passed away on Sunday evening, June 8, 2025, surrounded by her family and uplifted by the prayers and love of many dear loved ones. Born in Abanon, San Carlos City, Pangasinan in the Philippines, she was the youngest of seven children. She is survived by her devoted husband, Arnel Ubaldo, and her beloved daughter, Julie Anne Rule Ubaldo. Her only living sibling, Florita Rule Paringit, resides in the Philippines, together with many other wonderful family members across Europe, the Philippines, and the United States.
Teresita graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Virgin Milagrosa University Foundation in San Carlos City, Bonga, Philippines, Class of 1981. With dreams of becoming a nutritionist, she immigrated to the United States in November 1983. Though she was unable to pursue that path due to other requirements in the United States, which differed from those in the Philippines, she remained resilient and pursued training as an assembler and technician to help support not only her loved ones in the Philippines but also her own growing family here in the United States. She worked with great diligence for various electronics companies such as the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), Maxim, Google, YouSolar, and others throughout her career.
Teresita’s life was marked by joy, love, and an unshakable faith. She was known for her radiant smile and warm greetings, never failing to acknowledge those around her with genuine kindness. Her personality was magnetic and comforting, drawing people in and making them feel seen and embraced. Whether through a word, a gesture, or simply her presence, she had a gift for lifting your spirit. To many, she was like a sister and a mom—someone who could laugh with you, cry with you, and offer comfort when it was needed most. She deeply loved her family and friends, and her care for others was both constant and unconditional.
One of the most memorable ways Teresita expressed her love was through her cooking. From her signature pancit to her beloved banana bread and other Filipino dishes and delicacies, she delighted in sharing her meals with family, friends, and coworkers. It wasn’t just about food — it was how she showed love, generosity, and togetherness. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, joy, and connection.
Teresita also had a deep love for singing — there was always a song in her heart. Whether in church or at home, she was constantly lifting her voice in praise, vocally thanking the Lord for His blessings, no matter how big or how small. Her joyful spirit and genuine gratitude were evident in both her words and her worship.
Teresita was a faithful servant of God, living out her beliefs with grace and passion. An active member of North Valley Baptist Church, she regularly attended services, sang wholeheartedly in the choir, and actively shared her faith. As a strong prayer warrior and soul winner, she — alongside a faithful group of women from the Filipino Sunday School class — shared over a thousand gospel tracts, going door to door to invite others to church and lovingly present the plan of salvation.
Even when her health prevented her from attending in person, Teresita remained engaged—live streaming services from home, checking in on her choir family, and singing with her whole heart. Her devotion never wavered, and her faith continued to shine as a constant source of strength and peace.
Teresita’s legacy is one of love, faith, and grace. Though she has now gone home to be with the Lord, we find comfort in knowing she is watching over us with that same radiant smile and gentle spirit. The impact of her life continues through every person she touched. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will be carried forward with gratitude, joy, and enduring love.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
– Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
