

Virgilio Palmares Real was born on April 21, 1936, in Santa Maria, Laguna, Philippines, where he spent his childhood and was raised with the values of faith, hard work, humility, and compassion. He was the second of three siblings: Leonida, Virgilio, and Alexander.
From an early age, he valued education and learning. After completing high school, he pursued higher education of Engineering at Far Eastern University and Mapua University.
On December 21, 1963, Virgilio married the love of his life, Rose Alvarez Kaguyutan. Together, they built a loving home and were blessed with seven children. Although they experienced the heartbreaking loss of two children, they lovingly raised their five surviving children: Gemma, Nelson, Neysa, Clarita, and Cecilia.
Throughout his life, Virgilio embraced many roles with dedication and perseverance. He worked as a school teacher, a seaman, a farmer, a fisherman, a maintenance and a production associate. No matter what work he did, he approached every responsibility with integrity, determination, and a deep commitment to providing for his family.
In August 1989, Virgilio and his family immigrated to the United States in pursuit of a better future. Through sacrifice, hard work, and unwavering love, he created opportunities for his family and inspired them by the example he set.
Virgilio will always be remembered for his humble spirit, selflessness, gentle heart, and quiet strength. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, relative, and friend. His kindness touched countless lives, and his presence brought warmth, comfort, and light to everyone who knew him.
His legacy is one of unconditional love, generosity, resilience, and faith. The values he lived by will continue to guide his family for generations to come.
