

Jaimee Stethem and grandson, Kevin Stethem all from Las Vegas, Nevada. Survived by sister, Phyllis Rego, brother, Bill Farrell, many nieces and nephews and his son, Timothy J. Farrell. He will be missed by many friends especially his companion of 20 years, Bonnie King.Walt survived the attack on Pearl Harbor while serving
in World War II. In 1981 he retired from Naval Air Station, Alameda after thirty years of civilian service
as an aircraft examiner.
He was a parishioner of St. Joachim’s Church in Hayward for many years where he often served as an usher. He enjoyed attending his high school reunions, NARF lunches, woodworking,
riding his bike, lunch with friends, camping and his 69 Chevy Pickup. Walt was loved by all who met him, his stories were endless
and his signature three kisses were special! Visitation from 4:00PM to 8:00PM with rosary at 7:00PM on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at San Leandro Funeral Home, 407 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro, Ca. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 10:30AM at St. Joachim’s Church, 21250 Hesperian Blvd., Hayward, CA. Reception will follow. The family asks that all guests wear festive colors; this was one of Walt’s final requests.
