

He was born in Garrett, Indiana, on October 15, 1925, to Daniel and Mary Mowry. They preceded him in death.
He married Eva Lucille Goings on October 30, 1947, and she preceded him in death on March 13, 2005.
Mr. Mowry attended school in Garrett. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Orland American Legion Post 423.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, camp fires, mowing his grass, and bowling on the computer.
Mr. Mowry retired from Dana-Weatherhead in Angola, Indiana, in 1986 after 36 years, and later worked at the Meijer Store in Angola.
Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Adkins of Owasso, Michigan, Pam Barnett of Tupelo, Mississippi, and Robin and Bryan Leland of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; two sons, Ed and Sharon McMillen of Angola, Indiana, and Dale Mowry of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lionel “Bud” Mowry of Angola, Indiana, and Wayne and Esther Mowry of Wolf Lake, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Margarette Holiday of Angola, Indiana; and two brothers-in-law, Dean Goings of Angola, Indiana, and Sam Goings of Pleasant Lake, Indiana;
He was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Dean Mowry; 2 sisters, Treva and Louise; three brothers, Kenneth, Nelson, and John; and a son-in-law, Thomas “Don” Barnett.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with the Rev. Jon Bruney officiating.
Burial will be at Flint Cemetery, Angola, Indiana, with military honors conducted by members of Orland American Legion Post 423.
Memorials are to the Steuben County Cancer Association or the American Heart Association.
