

He was born on March 18, 1941 in Alexandria, VA., to George and Helen (Rans) Worl.
Barry lived most of his life at Clear Lake, Indiana.
He graduated from Kewanna High School, Kewanna, Indiana, in 1959, and graduated from Purdue University in 1963. He later received his Master’s Degree, and Specialist’s Degree from Ball State University. He spent much of his professional career as Principal and Superintendent of Fremont Community Schools in Fremont, Indiana. In retirement, he served on the Town Council for the Town of Clear Lake for seven years.
Barry loved Purdue University, and especially spending time with his family, and relaxing on Clear Lake. His hobbies included, gardening, traveling, following the Indianapolis Colts, going to the movies and theater, and reading books.
Survivors include his wife, Karen (Whiteman - Rice) Worl, daughters, Kelli (Chris) Baker, and Kathi (Tony) Forte, and son, Scott (Andrea) Worl. Barry will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Ryan, Ian, Alexa, Tyler, Cohen, and Bradley, and step-grandchildren, Jackson and Annabel. He is also survived by a brother, Bill (Linda) Worl, and a sister, Cheryl (Chet) Bartkavage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his former wife, Melinda G. (Hurley) Worl.
Calling hours will be held from 5-8 pm Friday, December 1, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, IN., and also one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, with Rev. Jon Bruney officiating.
Burial will follow services at Covenanter Cemetery, Fremont, IN.
