OBITUARY
Billy Ray Hawes
June 29, 1935 – February 14, 2013
Billy Ray Hawes, age 77, of Algansee Township, Quincy, Michigan, passed away, Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, in Fort wayne, Indiana.
Mr. Hawes was born on June 29, 1935 in Quincy, Michigan, the son of Lyle and Beulah (Payne) Hawes, they preceded him in death.
Mr. Hawes married Janet Joyce (Baker) on September 13, 1958, in Grand Ledge, Michigan, and she survives.
Mr. Hawes graduated from Quincy High School in 1958, and then graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Landscape Architecture.
He was a member of the East Ovid United Brethren Church, and a member of the NRA. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed taking trips to Canada, where he spent time fishing at the family cabin, and was a MSU sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Janet J. Hawes, Quincy, Mich., five sons, Steven Hawes, Quincy, Mich., Brian Hawes, Quincy, Mich., Billy P. Hawes, Quincy, Mich., Jeffry & Kathy Hawes, Galva, IL., and Andrew & Lori Hawes, Quincy, Mich., one sister, Dorothy & Richard Moore, Quincy, Mich., eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 23, 2013, at East Ovid United Brethren Church, 274 Quimby Road, Coldwater, Mich., 49036.
Pastor David Holt will officiate the service and memorials are requested to the East Ovid United Brethren Church.
Burial will take place at a later time at Lester Cemetery, Branch County, Michigan.

I remember Bill as always being there at church on Sundays, and most other times that the church doors where open! He was always a positive influence on me over the years both when I was attending East Ovid Bretheren Church, and in later years when I was attending elseware. He was a very caring person, and I will miss him. I have many other great Memories of Bill, and am glad for his faith in the Lord, and he was not afraid of letting others no of his faith.

Dearest sis,I'm sending prayers to you,the boys and their families. This is a difficult time for all of us,but with the strength of God,family and friends we will get through.
