Charlie was a great friend. We enjoyed working together and had many fun trips hunting and fishing. Not all of our excursions were productive in putting fish or game on the table but all added memories to be cherished forever.
Our condolences to all of the family and friends.

My dad, Art Somers, worked with Charlie at Gambles for several years. I remember spending time with Charlie and Ilah. I am not sure if they were in the pinochle group or not. I do remember the picnics at the park in Quincy, MI. We know your loss because our mom and dad are both gone also. You are in our thoughts and prayers .

We met Charlie while looking for a place to buy in Tavares, Florida. He was out walking in his bib overalls when we stopped to talk with him to ask what he thought of the place he lived. Based on meeting him and getting to know him for those 15 minutes, we decided to buy a place there. We became fast friends with Charlie and his wife Ilah. He loved fishing with my husband Jack and no matter what time Jack would tell him to meet, Charlie was always 1/2 hour early :). He was always working on projects for our mobile home park and willing to lend a helping hand. He was one of a kind and we will miss him. Jack & Barb Coulter
