Dale McKinley Mowry

He was born on November 12, 1959 in Angola, Indiana to the late George and Lucy (Goings) Mowry.

Dale grew up east of Fremont, Indiana. He played baseball and basketball for Fremont High School and graduated from Fremont High School in 1978.

Dale enjoyed raising cattle, spending time with his grand-daughters, IU basketball, golf, shooting pool, and mowing hay.

He enjoyed working as a farm hand for Moody & Crew near Fremont for many years until his illness.

Survivors include a son, Taylor (Haley) Mowry of Angola, Indiana, three granddaughters, Ada, Nora and Vida, sisters, Virginia Adkins of Owasso, Michigan, Pam Barnett of Tupelo, Mississippi and Robin (Bryan) Leland of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, a brother, Edward (Sharon) McMillen of Angola, Indiana, nephews, David McMillen and Jeffrey Tritch, a niece, Julie Tritch, and long-time companion, Caitlin.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Dean Mowry and a brother-in-law, Thomas “Don” Barnett.

Visitation will be held from 10 am until 12 pm Friday, June 12, 2026 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

A Funeral Service will follow at 12 pm Friday, June 12, 2026 at Beams Funeral Home. Pastor Tony Cioffi will officiate the service.

Burial will follow at Flint Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Fremont FFA or the Steuben County 4-H.
