

David was born on March 7, 1947 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Andrew and Kathryn (Walker) Mase.
He graduated from Bronson High School in 1965.
David married Mary Hoffman on September 1, 2000, she preceded him in death on May 16, 2017.
David worked for Moore Business Forms in Angola for 18 ½ years. He later ran his own trucking business with his wife Mary, Co-Op Express, Angola, Indiana.
He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and grandchildren, loved animals and was a huge Detroit Lions and Detroit Tiger’s fan. David also enjoyed bowling, going to the Casino and growing and attending to his fruit trees.
David was a longtime member of the Sons of the American Legion Post # 423, Orland, Indiana and attended Zion Missionary Church, Fremont.
Survivors include his companion, Gloria Guerrero of Fremont, Indiana, his children, Patricia Mase of Fremont, Indiana and Tommee Mase of Sturgis, Michigan, grandchildren, Samantha (Adam) Konrad of Angola, Indiana, Bryanna Mitchell of Fremont, Indiana and Marissa Mase of Sturgis, Michigan, step-grandson, Jonathan Garcia of Fremont, Indiana, great-grandchildren, Luke Konrad, Logan Konrad and Christian Ostrander, sisters, Joyce (Melvin) Shelburne of Orland, Indiana and Barbara (Larry) Alleshouse of Penrose, Colorado, brother, Andrew (Wendy James) Mase of Orland, Indiana, sister-in-law, Vicky Mase of Bronson, Michigan, and a long list of cousins, and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine (Hoffman) Mase a brother, Daniel “Danny” Mase, grandson, Austin Swary and a niece, Danielle Mase.
Visitation will be held from 11 am until 1 pm Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow at 1 pm Thursday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Rev. Jon Bruney will officiate the service.
David will be laid to rest following services at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
A meal will be provided by the Sons of the American Legion following burial at the Orland American Legion Post # 423, Orland, Indiana.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to Fremont Fire and Rescue or the Orland American Legion Post # 423, Sons of the American Legion.
