Don Edward Meeks

He was born on June 7, 1935 in Fremont, Indiana, the son of Dale and Mildred (Stewart) Meeks, they preceded him in death.

Don graduated from Fremont High School in 1953. He later married Marlene Foss on August 1, 1954 at the Fremont United Methodist Church.

Don enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Don also enjoyed playing the saxophone in the dance band with his wife, and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Meeks of Fremont, Indiana, his children, Steven (Debbie) Meeks of Fremont, Indiana, Mike (Sue) Meeks of Angola, Indiana, Roger Meeks of Angola, Indiana, and Phyllis (Randy) Tilbury, and Kaye Dennis, both of Fremont, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Stuart Meeks, and a sister, Janice Williams.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 1 pm Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 1 pm Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, with Rev. Darin Hendrey officiating.

Burial will be at Fremont Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana
