Donna Jean Rabbitt, age 82, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Lakeland Nursing Center, Angola, Indiana.

Donna was born in Morris, Illinois, the daughter of James and Darlene (Barkley) Causland.

She travelled with her parents while her father’s jobs took him all over the country, as he served in the United States Army. Her parents settled in Fort Wayne and she graduated from Northside High School in 1954. She later married Richard Wayne Rabbitt on July 26, 1958 in Fort Wayne. Donna worked for many years at the Lincoln Life Insurance Company, after she and her husband retired they moved to Angola in 1985.

Donna enjoyed to do crafts, especially painting, and making wood figurines.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele (Doug) Billman of Angola, Indiana, a son, Michael (Nancy) Rabbitt of Springfield, Missouri, grandchildren, Jacob Billman of Angola, Indiana, and David Rabbitt of Springfield, Missouri, and a sister, Carol Laubaugh of San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wayne Rabbitt on February 11, 1995, and her parents.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Rev. Jon Bruney officiating.

There will be one hour of calling prior to the Memorial Service, from 10 am until 11 am Saturday, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the services at California Cemetery, in Branch County, Michigan.

Memorial donations in her memory may be directed to the California Township Cemetery Association.
