Dorothy Bell "Dodie" Fritz

She was born on May 16, 1947 in Sturgis, Michigan to the late Donald A. and Edith Pauline (Campbell) Willms.

Dodie loved animals, especially dogs, she also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and going to garage sales.

Survivors include her children, Walt Pelfrey of Fremont, Indiana, Beverly (Bill) Slone of Kendallville, Indiana, Vicky Shaw of Fremont, Indiana and Fran (AJ) Hoard of Bellefontaine, Ohio, many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sisters, Mary Hogstad of Orland, Indiana, Bonnie (Nick) Witham of LaGrange, Indiana and a brother, Richard Willms of Orland, Indiana.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis R. Fritz, Sr., a son, Steve Pelfrey, sisters, Betty Jean Rathbun and Emma Willms, and a grandson, Colten Pelfrey.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Friday, May 29, 2026 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Pastor Josh Hawkins will officiate the service.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
